YAQEEN Gold Fund

Yaqeen Gold Fund is an open-ended public commodities investment fund that complies with Shariah principles and is managed by Yaqeen Capital. Its units are denominated in US dollars. The fund is classified as a high-risk investment and aims to achieve long-term capital growth by tracking the performance of spot gold priced in US dollars.

The fund follows a passive investment strategy aimed at tracking the performance of the spot gold price index against the US dollar (XAU/USD), before fees and expenses. According to the fund’s terms and conditions, between 90% and 100% of its total assets are allocated to gold, with the option to invest in gold funds and money market instruments that comply with Shariah principles, while maintaining cash liquidity within the approved limits. The fund does not invest in gold mining companies; instead, it focuses on gaining exposure to gold price movements.

The fund uses the spot gold price against the US dollar (XAU/USD) as its benchmark index. The index reflects the value of one ounce of gold with a purity of 999.9 against the US dollar, based on a methodology that calculates the average bid and ask prices provided by central banks and international commercial banks, which are aggregated by Bloomberg.

Subscription and redemption requests are processed twice a week, in accordance with the approved dealing schedule and order submission deadlines. The minimum subscription amount is USD 500, and the minimum cash redemption amount is USD 500. The fund offers both cash and in-kind redemption options. The minimum in-kind redemption amount is 32.15 ounces of gold, equivalent to approximately one kilogram, and is subject to the applicable custody and transaction fees in accordance with the fund’s terms and conditions. Cash redemption proceeds are paid no later than the close of business on the fifth day following the valuation point at which the redemption price was determined.
